Q. Should I take my Plavix and/or Aspirin?
A. Yes.

Q. Do I need to be NPO since midnight?
A. Only 6 hours prior to the Cardiac Catheterization, if it is more that 6 hours, then you can take fluids, no solid food.

Q. I am diabetic, which medications/Insulin should I take?
A. Contact your Cardiologist office for Instructions on Diabetic medications and diet prior to cardiac catheterization.

Q. Do I take my Diuretic (water pill)?
A. Contact your Cardiologist office for instructions on your medications.

Q. When can I return to normal activity?
A. Usually, 48 hours post procedure, but activity tolerance will be discussed on discharge.
